I don't know when it started to happen, but I am becoming an "adult". And all of the people around me are becoming "adults". And there is nothing I can do to stop it. I have friends that are graduating this year or next year and I have friends that are seriously talking about marriage. When the fuck did this start to happen?! I feel like I am maybe not as mature as some of my peers because it's like, "Wait, I am 20 years old. I still have a long time before I graduate. All I want to do is drink and have fun with my friends and be irresponsible." It is so scary. I don't like this at all. |

Man, my computer is a piece of shit.
Good thing I will be getting a new one this summer.
Don't you hate when you get up to go to an 8:00 class even though you are sick and you get to class and no one is there and it's then you realize that class is CANCELLED and your TA didn't send out an email til about 11:00 last night but you were already asleep because the NyQuil you took for your cold knocked you out around 10? Yeah, I hate that too.
I have a geography lab quiz and in-service today. Gross.
Instead of going to England this summer I am going to Texas. That's almost the same, right? It's a really long story, but I'll sum it up for you: I didn't think I got accepted to the Oxford program this summer then they told me about two days ago when I really had been accepted but I had already made all these other plans for the summer such as working a lot and taking a class or two and making a trip with KCox to Texas for a week or so. So it's just not going to work out this summer for me to go to England. No big deal though. I WILL study abroad before I graduate though. Lindsay and I are talking about going to Italy next summer. That's be out of control! Anyways, I'm really excited about making another trip to Texas. We're flying out July 28th and getting home like August 3rd I think.
This weekend will be fun! Lindsay, Katie, Moaf, Emily, LaHaie, me, and possibly Whitney and Alix are going to the LAKE! Yes, it is too cold for swimming, but we are bringing board games and DVD and alcohol so it'll be good times for sure!

What a weekend.
It really was one last hoorah before everything goes to shit and we all start freaking out about finals.
Friday was a lot of fun. I went to dinner with Kristen and Haley and we sat in Choo Choo for literally three hours just talking. It was really good to hang out with them. I hadn't seen Kristen in like a week (which is very rare!). Then we came back to my house and watched Ray. It really says alot about our friendship when so much time has passed since the three of us were inseperable and we can still hang out and just talk and it's like no time has passed.
Saturday I got up, went to Wal-Mart, went to lunch with Alix (La Parilla is my new fave!) then went to Chi Psi to watch the game with Hannah, Alix, Mike and some of the other guys that live there. Holy shit. What an amazing game. I mean really, not one single poll or expert picked us to beat LSU and not only did we beat them, we fucking OWNED them. And we looked awesome doing it, too. It was amazing. I've never been so happy watching a football game than I was on Saturday. Sugar Bowl, here we come. There are already talks of a mini-road trip in January. Should be a blast to watch us maul West Virginia! (Honestly, West Virginia? Who the fuck are they, anyways?)
After the game was over me, Alix, and Hannah high tailed it over to the Morton to see Jump's acoustic show. It was amazing. That really is all that can be said. I'm so glad I got to catch at least a little of the show.
And that was the weekend. Today I've just been making flashcards and putting the final touches on my website. This week is going to suck so bad. As is next week. I'm dreading tomorrow. I'm going to be in class all day then I have to go straight to work. After work I have to stay at the pool for freaking in-service until 7. Shit.
My last final is the 16th at 8 am. I shall then proceed home and immediately begin drinking. All are welcome to join. The event will end downtown for a fun filled evening to ring in the end of the semester. I CAN'T WAIT. |

So, I am sitting in my parents' house watching the second season of Nip/Tuck. Why am I not sitting in my aunt and uncle's house in Mississippi enjoying the company of my family? Well, my grandma is sick, my sister is sick, and I am sick (sort of) and an eight hour car ride would have been less than pleasant. I'm so bummed out. This is going to be the first time ever that Thanksgiving is going to be just me, my family, and my grandma. I just can't remember a Thanksgiving without Arlyss and Jim and Pete and Jeremy. And Eryn was going to be there this year too. I haven't seen my cousin Eryn in years. Ugh. This sucks.
So, now I shall explain my mysterious illness. So, Monday night we had pseudo-Thanksgiving at the house. It was a lot of fun. Me, Quintron, Haley, Kristen, Moaf, Alix, Ryan, Michelle, Lou, Sylvia, Hannah, and Lindsay all came over and ate lots of good food and drank some champagne. Well, at about 4:30 I woke up feeling not so well. And then I puked. A lot. And I continued to puke until I went to class at 8. Well, needless to say I felt like shit all day but I STILL managed to go to both of my classes. I am such a trooper. I was pretty much terrified that I was going to hurl in class and I wouldn't be able to find the bathroom in time because I have no idea where they are in my buildings. After my last class I slept from 2 to 5 and got up and puked again. Then packed a bag and went him and pretty much slept until 10 this morning. And now I feel grrrrreat! Just a little washed out and tired, but other than that I'm fine. I hate being sick. And I hate when it ruins Thanksgiving.
Tonight I'm going to eat with Megan and then we're going to see Rent with Moaf, Alix, and Hannah. Should be good times. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I plan to eat my body weight in deliciousness. Even though I don't think we're getting a turkey. Boo. But we are going to watch Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation. Then Friday we're going to see HARRY POTTER and probably get our tree and start decorating the house and such. So, hopefully it won't be such a sad Thanksgiving.

Well, the game today was...intense. If Shockley hadn't of gotten hurt then it would've been a different story. (And that's not just me being a cocky Bulldog fan, that's the truth and if you think differently then you're retarted.) Anyways, Shockley's out most likely for the Florida game, which is OK...because if we lost to Florida we'll still when the East. And he should be back in time for Auburn. Thank God.
In one week from now I will be drunk off my ass in Jacksonville, hopefully celebrating a rediculous win over Florida. I CANNOT WAIT. We are leaving Thursday morning...I don't know how I'm going to be able to focus on anything this week. AHH!!!
In the meantime I am preparing for Michael Jones's famed Halloween party. I am going as white trash Britney Spears. I bought a Cornona trucker hat from Walmart and I'm wearing my jean shirt with the holes in it, a white t-shirt with a bright pink bra underneath and giant sunglasses with no shoes. YESSSSSSSS. I am going to look AMAZING. I will definitely post pictures as soon as they become available. |
